“God, if I knew for sure I wasn’t runnin’ again?” Blagojevich muses to J.B. Pritzker on the call. “How about Reverend Wright?”
Pritzker laughs: “Oh my God.” Then adds: “Bill Ayers.”
“How funny would it be sending Rev. Wright there?” Blagojevich adds. “I bet you he’d take it. Wouldn’t that be fucking funny?”
“Hilarious,” Pritzker answers.
“Right there on the Senate floor, it wouldn’t be God Bless America it would be God Damn America!” Blagojevich says laughing.
Pritzker then repeats: “God Damn America.”
