Better training?
In November 1938, Nazi leaders unleashed a nationwide anti-Jewish pogrom, state-sponsored vandalism, arson, and terror, that came to be known as Kristallnacht (Night of the Broken Glass).
If the leaders of the Democrats in Congress had been in Germany at the time, they would surely have wrung their hands and called for body cameras and better training for Stormtroopers. They would have offered them even more resources and gear while entirely ignoring the heart and root of the assault, including the obvious: the Nazis were acting out the wishes of the Fuehrer.
ICE agents, our very own Stormtroopers, are acting out the specific, clearly-stated demands and desires of Trump, Vance, Miller, Noem, Homan, Johnson, Hegseth, and Rubio–perhaps Jeffries and Schumer ought to propose body cameras to be worn on their lapels.
Mobs of armed and masked ICE agents are sweeping through selected communities every day–not Kalorama Heights or Chevy Chase or Central Park South or Beverly Hills, but Pilsen and East Oakland and La Villita and East LA–assaulting whoever stands in their path, detaining people of color, and vandalizing property. These thugs are recruited and trained to see their mission as purifying the US soil and expelling an invading hoard that’s corrupting our country and poisoning our blood. They listen to their leaders–opposition is far-left anarcho-communism, dissent is “domestic terrorism,” and anyone who stands in your way is an “enemy of the state.”
The murderers in Chicago and Minneapolis were not “bad apples” inside a pristine barrel. While there may be a couple of good apples in there, the barrel is rotten to the core.
