EMERGENCY!!! Suspend the Debates!

And if that sounds remotely reasonable, think of it as a dress rehearsal, a practice run, a prelude:

EMERGENCY!!! Suspend the Elections!

wow you have a lot of horrible people coming to your site. I haven’t heard that much hate since middle school.

    Must be exhausting.

The vile in these posts is deplorable and shameful; very sad indeed.

    Bill,
Judging from some of the deplorable and reprehensible comments posted on this blog, the need for your work in education is sorely needed. The ignorance spewing forth from hate mongers demonstrates the need for change and for electing a man like Barack Obama.

Clearly, there is little understanding of the need for radical action during the Vietnam War. I won’t try to defend the acts of the Weathermen but I do express my appreciation for those who took action to bring that illegal and inhumane conflict to an end. Including John Kerry. Every bit the hero John McCain was. I only wish that such courage and committment would manifest itself against the current conflict for oil.

I was only 12 in 1968 and was never eligible for the draft. By the time I finished HS, the war was finally coming to an end. But I remember well, the sense of impending death carried by all during those times. Every young man was forced to contemplate the prospect of death in a foreign land for an unjust and illegal conflict. Blaming Barack Obama for acts of others committed to bringing that conflict to an end is absurd. It is also important to remember that the single worst act of terrorist violence committed in the US besides 9/11 was committed in the name of racist, separatist, facism by Timothy McVeigh.

Guilt by association can damn almost anyone. It is very clear to me that Barack Obama is not unduly influenced by nefarious forces out to bring down our government. And if he has sought out your council on education, I applaud him. Clearly you have demonstrated your committment to the field and demonstrated your expertise. I hope Richie Daily will intervene and speak to this issue. Further, it is evident that Barack Obama is committed to improving the country through good government for and by the people. And I applaud his and your committment to education.

I can’t help but be struck by the “religious” tone taken by some of the posts on this site. I stand by my conviction that the three worse inventions of man are religion, legal tender, and the internal combustion engine. All three have brought endless heartache to our world.

Best wishes to you Bill Ayers and keep up your good work in education.

In Jesus’ Name I pray that He would touch your life in such a way that you never have been before. He loves you and died for you. I know that your shoulders are heavy with burdens that no one knows. Give them to Jesus, lay them at His feet. Your eternity depends on it…….

  6. not a terrorist like you bill says:

    You god damn terrorist scum!

Geez…just fell on this blog while I was trying to find out who is Bill Ayers. Currently, the Rove campaign is getting ready to attack on the basis of association with you. You must scare the hell out of the right wing.
I am a Viet Nam vet. I was there in late 1970-1971. I wondered what the heck are we doing here back then. I found out in the late 1970’s . I bought a house from a guy who owned some Flying Tiger Airline stock. Flying Tiger flew contract flights to and from Cam Ran Bay transporting our troops. Guess who’s picture was on the inside cover of an annual report that was in my new homes mailbox? Lady Bird Johnson!!!
It is also interesting to know that several other Texas companies were very involved in production of war equipent. Bell helicopters were a big ticket item.
Since then I have learned to never trust any politicians from Texas. It seems the whole emotional crap about patriotism gets misconstrued into being a right wingers point of view. I feel like that charactor Yosarrian (spelling?) from Catch 22.

  8. Gunny G says:

May a patriot put you and your terrorist wife out of our misery SOON! You are a traitor and a scumbag.

I hear they like you in Cuba, how about getting the fuck out of our country?

  9. Gunny G says:

    Bill,

Please come visit us in Virginia. We have some nice woods to show you.

I agree with Ayers’s post — McCain can’t walk and chew gum at the same time! He’s slowing down at his age, and if elected, a heartbeat away from passing the torch to Palin. This is the very woman who spending all of her time criticizing people virtually unrelated to Obama instead of telling us what she CAN do.

Why I decided to reply to this, however, is more inspired by what the “religious” posters are saying in response to Ayers’s last blog. Since the Right has decided to play the ‘guilt by association’ game this week, I have taken the liberty of fact checking on his alleged ties to Obama:

“The only hard facts that have come out so far are the $200 contribution by Ayers to the Obama re-election fund, and their joint membership of the eight-person Woods Fund Board. Ayers did not respond to e-mails and telephone calls requesting clarification of the relationship. Obama spokesman Bill Burton noted in a statement that Ayers was a professor of education at the University of Illinois and a former aide to Mayor Richard M. Daley, and continued:

Senator Obama strongly condemns the violent actions of the Weathermen group, as he does all acts of violence. But he was an eight-year-old child when Ayers and the Weathermen were active, and any attempt to connect Obama with events of almost forty years ago is ridiculous.”

The truth has been vastly misconstrued on this topic when there is really no excuse as to why anyone would be confused — it took me a few seconds to google this fact check site. If you can post illogical, ignorant garble on an internet message board, your information should NOT sound like it came out of a tin can.

And if you’re going to live by Jesus, he would probably not want us to bomb Iraq either, which is exactly what McCain’s buddy Bush has done, might I add. Seriously Righties, I wonder what your opinions would sounds like if you didn’t use Jesus as a crutch. Try it!
