Mr Ayers:
All this time I’ve been hearing you called a “domestic terrorist” it occurred to me that I’d never heard this term until the PATRIOT Act. Any of us, even peaceful protestors are at risk to be labeled in this way.
Look at what has become of us. We all get our news on television, yet the media has become FOX News–it’s permissable to spew hate and lies unchecked nationwide.
And even reading these comments left on your website here: this is evidence of the value of religious indoctrination over education, the proud display of ignorance. I’m very worried about our country, the worst part being the last eight years. And yet everyone is acting as though things are just fine.
On that note I will thank you for your life and work. If more of us would act as you have we could change things for the better.
There are some really brainless people in the US judging from the comments on this site toward Mr. Ayers. But then again the education system is for shit in the US and most people just dont think for themselves so what do you expect? it’s too bad more people didnt stand up to the tyrannical Nixon/Kissinger regime in the 60’s and 70’s like you all did. I understand what you mean when you say you wish you would have done more.
Despite any issues that may be against anybody’s values, the Weather Underground and their methods were never a solution; at least the way they did things. These methods are cowardly acts of terrorism without accountability; what is interesting is it so much like what we see today from the Muslim Nations. Ephesians 6 talks about how we do not fight against flesh and blood, but of those things that are not of God. The Spirit of Rebellion, the Spirit of Anti-Christ, and the Spirit of Pride appear to be the schemes of the enemy and the engines in the 2nd realm that influence this type of behavior; and I actually feel sorry for Bill Ayers. God does not want one person to perish; but to return to the Penthouse of the Lord; to declare that indeed, Jesus Christ, Yeshua, is savior and Lord. It appears that his life has been full of rebellion, and he has used his natural strength to create a movement that is twisted in so many ways. Twisiting is the Spirit of Leviathon, actually a prinicipallity that creates great pain and twisting throughout this world.
Scriptures say pray for your enemy, bless them, feed them, and do not judge them. (See the book of James). God will redeem, not us; we just need to speak the truth knowing that Christ is in us, the hope of Glory (Collosians 1:27). Our nation has been affected by the 60’s; a movement that began in lust 41 years ago with the Love Generation. Although there were many issues that indeed were wrong, the answers that these people came up with to solve their problems were self centered, self motiviated, and had nothing to do with giving the Glory to God; and understanding his righteousnous. They took their ideas, their twisted ideas, and many people have fallen for the lies. Does that many everything was wrong; certainly not! Many of the issues they identified were real; Liberty, human rights, women rights, etc were and still are real issues; but their solutions and methods are what are and are still wrong.
So what do we do? I sense to say, “Seek God with all of you heart, mind, and soul”, and love your neighbor as yourself” Speak the truth, get into the bible, know that Mercy triumphs over judgement. Know your scriptures, memorize them like people did 2000 years ago when there wasn’t a printing press; know that Jesus came to be with the sinners; and that we as Christians, can expect to be persecuted. Learn to pray and hear from the Lord in accordance to Psalms 46:10. Above all know that Bill Ayers is not possessed by demons, but is under the influence and has agreed with the Enemy on those things that are Not of God; and therefore are sinful separating him from Relationship with God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit. Pray that he may see the truth and repent (or turn) to the Lord.
We as Christians cannot fall for the same schemes; for we have died in Christ and no longer live (Galations 2:20); we are now ambassadors of heaven; and we need to speak life, and life in Abundance. (John 1:10)
Any Christian that is pontificating hatred and anger; I encourage you to pray for Bill Ayers; prayer is the most powerful tool that we have. Pray that he may know that indeed, Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior; that we are saved not by what we do; but we believe in faith, that there was one perfect man who beat death, was perfect in every way, and by his blood, we are saved; by his blood we are rightious, by his wounds we are healed; and that he indeed is King of Kings. Pray that the Lord will encounter him in the night; that angels from heaven will encounter him; that dreams and visions will occur so that he indeed may know the truth. Pray that he may know what love is, how much God still loves him despite falling for the schemes of the enemy. Paul, like Bill Ayers killed innocent blood from Christians before he received revelation; and he ended up writing over 2/3rds of the new testament. Yes, God has great plans for Bill Ayers; I pray that he may become a great amabassador for heaven; that he may be cleansed from the blood of Christ, that his ears may open, that his eyes might see so that he too, may advance the Kingdom of God. Before he was born, God knew him, and had destiny and purpose from Bill Ayers. Pray that the Lord will reveal that to him, and that suddenly, he will walk in the ways of righteousnous advancing the Kingdom of God; heaven on earth, today.
Also pray for our nation; pray that we become humble, that despite our freedom, we often abuse it; may we acknowledge our faults and turn to God and give him the Glory.

I happened to stumble upon this when looking up who Bill Ayers was…
Now…im not that educated, nor that old…but reading some of these comments almost makes me sick it shows me how much hate there really is in the world. I thought the point of a president was to bring us together…but all McCain and especially Palin keep doing is spreading rage that further distances ourselves from our own.
It just doesn’t make sense to me how people can be so hateful. What does it help?

You people are so full of hatred. NO ONE WAS HARMED IN THE WEATHER UNDERGROUND ATTACKS. Bill Ayers has made great headway in inner city education, university education, and he recognizes the error of his past.
Look at your hate, and what it’s doing to the country. THE GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD? I need to see a lot of changes before I agree with that statement.
Isn’t it so ironic that many of the defending posts on this are so surprised by the “hate” that permeates many of the messages here when really it’s just an individual’s passion being expressed??? Just as Mr. Ayers’ passion drove him to do things that might be interpreted as cruel, close-minded and arrogant. hmmmmm……
And to assume that all those frustrated and speaking out are misaligned Christians or brainwashed right wingers…..equally interesting. Perhaps it’s really a FULL CIRCLE if you observe closely enough. Perhaps we are all the same afterall.

I am young I am a first time voter and I can not understand what the constant connection between a country where the first amendment requires the separation between church and state, and gods will. I am atheist and I do not take offense to people publicizing their church values but associating them to government operations seems obscene. I am also in a deep fear of the american public many rumors of shady aspects around the last two elections still does not quell my angst for the fact that the close to half the country voted for what seemed to be the worst possible candidate not to say Kerry would have been better the second time around but reinforcing what the actions taken from Bush’s treacherous first term seemed ridiculous. I love many aspects around this country and I have been well cultured as a youth to the world views and have done a good amount of traveling I am currently on a road trip and would like to know your views as you have been in the world longer and seen much more than I and yes I agree with the others this terrible threats of Karma should stop people need to submit more ideas and facts rather than spreading more terror. I believe war is wrong but I am struggling with the ideas of capitalism and socialism both seem to be very negative in their extremes what do you believe would work uniformly. As I am interested in your opinion being on your site I am also interested in others and would love to see responses. Lots of people post a lot of hate here. You all hear some idiot like Sean Hannity from fox news call him a terrorist, and you assume he is the enemy and post all sorts of hate her on him. I don’t condone what the weather underground did, but they did it to end the vietnam war, in which so many innocent lives were lost…for…NOTHING, thats right, NOTHING. He’s now a professor at a college and has tons of students and he fights for academics. No one should condone what was done, but you should try to understand not be so ignorant.
I was young in the sixties and living in the US so I was aware of the issues. I am not American (for which I thank God, daily) so my personal commitment was to the cause of Irish freedom from centuries of British tyranny. If things had unfolded differently, I might have been someone who fought back through “domestic terrorism”. I am glad I was not because I no longer believe it is useful. What works? I don’t know, but bombing doesn’t.
It amazes me that almost no one in America questions the viability of your form of democracy. Inevitably, democracy becomes a tool in the hands of people who hate the people. Like the Romans who tried to distract the masses with foolish games, our “democratic” societies distract us with constant bickering and infighting. Look at America, today. The country is split down the middle because Obama once knew a guy named Ayers and is pretty clearly black and evidently not as ideologically astute as Joe the Plumber? Or might be a socialist who could move America a little closer to someplace like Sweden? OOOOOHHHH!!! Run for your life from the wicked witch. What remarkable crap.
I would like to suggest the abolition of the party system. Simply vote for whomever you respect and trust. Those who get the most votes win. No electioneering allowed. If you don’t know anyone who fits the bill, don’t vote until you find one. Simple. No bullshit. Then, once they are elected, trust them to do the job without constant bitching. If you don’t like what they decide, say so in a respectful manner, then shut up and vote for someone else next time.
We really have to grow up and stop acting like rival troops of baboons. Otherwise, I don’t think we are going to survive the challenges ahead.
