EMERGENCY!!! Suspend the Debates!

And if that sounds remotely reasonable, think of it as a dress rehearsal, a practice run, a prelude:

EMERGENCY!!! Suspend the Elections!

Wow, there’s nothing more amusing then pencil-neck inbreeders who hurl death threats from the comfort of their mom’s basement. Good job, righties. With every post like that, you show us why the likes of you need a clean sweep out of the halls of power.

Take heart, Bill; this is a tiny, fringe, whackjob minority spouting this nonsense here, cowards who could never and have never said these sorts of things to a man’s face. There’s a lot more of us out here who do not condemn you for your past or any of that rubbish. “It is what it is” as they say, we have all moved on.

I’ve never read so many despicable comments aimed toward someone. This hate mongering crap that has been perpetuated by Palin and the McCain camp is unforgivable. And you, who write these deplorable statements should be ashamed of yourselves. How dare you threaten a person in this manor. You condemn him for violence yet threaten the same. You are no better. I am embarrassed to have people in this great country who would treat someone in the fashion. Shame on you posters! Shame on you!

I would like to be a public response to the lies of Palin and McCain, and now Pat Buchanan—speaking on Hardball as I write this.

Mr. Ayers has a very distinguished career in education and all most people know of him now is that he’s a terrorist.

When is someone going to put a stop to all these despicable lies against his character?

    Professor Ayers,

I got to know Bernadine Dohrn when we were both working at Northwestern School of Law. She was very personable as well as a caring and commited professional. I have a lot of respect for the work she was doing there on behalf of children. As far as your past together, you both stood up for what you believed in – that yes resulted in property damage.

From what I have read about your work post Weatherman Days, and having the opportunity to work in the same environment as Bernadine, I have to say I have a lot of respect for both of you. You are contributing greatly to improve the quality of life for children in this country.

I am a teacher, and our country needs more people like you and Bernadine who have been making a positive difference in society for over 30 years.

We need more ignorant death threats here, that’s the American way.

  6. Shaindel Beers says:

    Hi, Bill,

When I went to the University of Chicago for my M.A. (1999-2000) I worked in the Neighborhood Schools Program, and you were a guest speaker for a get-together we had. I really enjoyed all of your theories about education and appreciate all the work you’ve done for the children of this country. I remember you telling me that if everyone adopted one child who needed a home, we’d have no homeless children in the world. Thank you for being such a caring person and sharing your light. I’m truly sorry for all of the hateful messages you’ve been receiving because McCain is behind and getting desperate for any way to win.

    Yours truly,
    Shaindel Beers, M.A., M.F.A.

  7. Convicted Killer says:

Kill Yourself Bill Ayers. You fucking malignant cunt! You motherless fucking evil secret fag, your nailbomb should have split your fucking face and skull open with nails and fire instead of your cunt dead girlfriend.

You fucking coward cunt, hiding from the truth this October huh? Why don’t you break you fucking pathetic silence you fucking clown?

You need to overdose on some of that coke you’ve always got in your house.

I hope to god to wake up to the news you are fucking dead.

  8. Alyson Love says:

    Hi Mr. Ayers.

I’m writing because I’m deeply disturbed by the current witch-hunt. I’ve never met you but I’ve known about your work in education reform for well over a decade. I just wanted to say I hope you’re doing well, and that you and your wife, and other known associates, are safe. I doubt that will counter the more hateful statements made here, but I wanted to speak out and reach out.

    Peace and goodwill,

    Alyson

It is very distressing to read posts by those who I am sure would call themselves Christian be so hate-filled, racist, and distorted. I am very sad that a political leader in this country has inspired these attacks. Now you know how Jesus must have felt.

    Stay strong, Bill.
